New for 2008! Ecological Discovery Tours! Like a floating science museum, our two-hour Ecological Discovery Tour features the animals and natural wonders of the upper Niagara River around Pirates’ and Strawberry Islands. Passengers will see first-hand what is going on beneath the surface using our state-of-the-art navigation equipment and underwater camera. GPS-connected monitors on both decks project the boat’s position on the river surface while the underwater camera show what lies beneath. Tours will give passengers an up-close look at nesting birds like herons, egrets and cormorants, as well as include narration about other animals and natural wonders of the upper Niagara River.
